About Pamela

Like many people, I first turned to yoga at my local gym, hoping to feel more flexible and calm my busy mind. After many years working as an IT Support Analyst, my body felt stiff and my energy drained.
A few years later, inspired by how much yoga had transformed my own wellbeing, I decided to train as a teacher. I completed the highly respected British Wheel of Yoga 3‑year, 500‑hour Diploma and began teaching a weekly class for my colleagues. When I moved to Northamptonshire in 2007, I chose to leave my corporate career behind and founded Pamela Deal Yoga (formerly Yoga Deal), allowing me to share the benefits of yoga with others full‑time.
This year I am celebrating 20 years teaching Yoga!

Since qualifying, I’ve continued to expand my knowledge through workshops and advanced training with many inspiring, world‑renowned teachers. Alongside deepening my understanding of Pranayama, Relaxation, and Meditation, I’ve gained additional qualifications in Yoga for Children & Teens, Yoga for Sport, Yoga for Stress, Anxiety & Depression, and most recently, Trauma‑Sensitive Yoga.
My own health journey has also shaped the way I teach. In 2012, I was diagnosed with Guillain‑Barré Syndrome—a rare autoimmune condition that affects the nerves. My recovery gave me a profound appreciation for the body’s resilience, the power of positive thinking, and the role yoga can play in healing, both physically and emotionally. This experience continues to inform my approach, helping me support students with empathy, patience, and a deep respect for individual needs.
Today, my aim is to create classes that are welcoming, down‑to‑earth, and tailored to real people with real bodies. Yoga has been a constant companion through every chapter of my life, and sharing its benefits with others remains at the heart of my work.
